2002 Competition Winners
 
We’d like to congratulate Mrs Elizabeth Ashley, from Somerset who was the overall winner of 'a small piece of history' with her story 'King and Country'.
We would also like to extend our congratulations to the 10 runners-up and 25 highly commended entries all of whose stories are available to read on this website. There will be a screening of the overall winner and other entries on Sunday February 16th at 7.30pm. Other winning entries can be seen on the channel everyday at 6.55pm and 8.55pm.

The project was judged by: Greg Neale, Editor of BBC History Magazine; Peter Clifford, Publishing Director of Sutton Publishing; Taylor Downing, Managing Director of Flashback Television; Dr Tracy Borman, Education & Outreach Director for English Heritage; Geoff Metzger, Managing Director of The History Channel; and Martin Morgan, Deputy Head of Programming for The History Channel.
